Arise, eat bread and let your heart be cheerful. 1 Kings 21:7

Our pastor, Skip Allen, and I decided a few months back to start a men’s breakfast at HCC. The main reason was we wanted the men in our church to spend more time together in fellowship. Let’s be honest, in America, fellowship over food is where relationships begin. And when you develop friendships among Christian men, the enemy gets very worried.

So, April 1st will be our second breakfast. It’s free to everyone and we encourage fathers to bring their sons. We had over fifty guys in March and expect even more this month.

To recap last month, we all need brothers in our lives. In Genesis chapter 2, it says that men weren’t designed to do life alone. Fellow brothers will build you up in ways you never imagined. Some ways you can connect is coming to Hope Community Church weekly, joining a men’s community group, connecting with other men during events like men’s breakfast and our hiking trips or simply making a phone call to grab coffee with another brother.

On April 1st, we’ll be focusing on what it means to be a Godly man. We’ll be discussing what a Godly man is vs what a Godly man isn’t, why God wants us to follow Him and to finish, we’ll discuss, as a group, how do we go about doing this in a practical way. It’s going to be an awesome event and I hope to see y’all there.

I’m less without y’all,

Donald
